Helicopter Crashes Kill Fourteen Americans in Afghanistan
This week fourteen Americans have been killed in two separate helicopter crashes in Afghanistan according to MSNBC, AP and BBC.
Two other Americans were killed this past weekend in the eastern region of the country.
On the morning of Oct. 25, two U.S. Marine Corp helicopters hit each other in mid-flight in the southern part of Afghanistan resulting in four of the deaths and two injuries.
By the evening, a second helicopter crashed in the western part of the country after a gun battle with insurgents at a drugs and weapons trafficking site. Seven American troops and three civilians were killed, and 26 troops were injured.
