John Edwards Top Contributor Killed Before Testifying Against Him
Former U.S. Democratic Presidential candidate and former North Carolina Senator John Edwards has been facing a lot of scandal the past year, including the latest explosive controversy.
A top contributor to John Edwards’s presidential campaign Texas attorney John O’Quinn was killed in a one-car crash Oct. 29 in Houston right before he was to possibly testify before a federal grand jury investigating the misappropriation of campaign funds by John Edwards.
The situation sparks one to wonder: did Edwards hire a hit man?
The National Enquirer exclusively reported about his death: “The grand jury in Raleigh, N.C., was considering calling O’Quinn and other major Edwards’ contributors in order to complete its investigation, a top government source in Washington, D.C., told The ENQUIRER.
“John O’Quinn was one of Edwards’ biggest contributors and also a close friend of Fred Baron, who was Edwards’ national finance chairman.
“Baron allegedly paid hush money to Edwards’ mistress Rielle Hunter and to Andrew Young, Edwards’ former loyalist who took part in the cover-up surrounding the ex-senator’s out-of-wedlock baby with Rielle.”
The government source told the Enquirer: “‘While there’s no indication of wrongdoing in O’Quinn’s death, it’s weird timing that he was suddenly killed with the grand jury still investigating whether Edwards had broken any campaign finance laws when paying Rielle.’
“Edwards has denied paying hush money, but O’Quinn’s violent death adds yet another strange twist to the incredible saga of the slick politician’s rapid fall.
“‘There’s absolutely no indication that Mr. O’Quinn did anything wrong – or knew about hush money or even knew John Edwards was having an affair,’ the DC insider said.
“‘But as a top contributor – AND a close friend of Baron – he was among several individuals that the grand jury was considering calling to testify.’”
New details have emerged Tuesday in the mysterious death of top John Edwards contributor John O’Quinn.
The National Enquirer reports: “Yet ‘there’s no indication that Mr. O’Quinn did anything wrong’ a federal source told The ENQUIRER.
“Here’s the kicker: O’ Quinn, who was instrumental in pioneering verdicts against breast implants manufacturers, hazardous drugs and tobacco products and repped Anna Nicole Smith’s mother, was one of the biggest collectors of vintage cars in the world.
“O’Quinn’s collection was valued at over $100 million and included at least 618 cars!
“Among the lawyer’s four-wheel gems a 2005 Lamborghini Gallardo with 33 celebrity autographs ($500,000); JFK’s 1962 Lincoln Continental Bubble Top limo (pictured above), the Batmobile used in the film Batman Forever ($335,000), a 1941 Packard limo used by FDR, a 1938 Town Car used by Pope Pius XII ($250,000) and the ultimate show-piece a 1975 Ford Escort owned by priest Karol Wojtyla before he became Pope John Paul II.
“In 2002 O’ Quinn discovered several of his cars were missing. Zev Isgur, a 32-year-old ex-con whom the legal ace had entrusted with managing his stable of collectibles was later convicted of embezzlement.”
It seems no one should mess with John Edwards! Who would have thought?

Excellent document and I like your frame of mind towards boosting standards. Thanks for putting this particular info up. This is EXACTLY what I am seeking. Keep blogging. Looking towards reading your following post.
Cool post. I am so looking forward to reading more
Thanks Eilatan – Great idea!
Another story for you: investigate Hunter and Young. They are selling their stories to the tabloid so the Enquirer protects them but they are just as scummy as Edwards. Out all of them for the horrible things they did! (According to other websites, the stories would include rampant drug use, sex clubs, etc. Everything you need to sell.)

To EC: The Enquirer doesn’t have to investigate the British scientists. Maybe we will! Good article idea!
Why doesn’t the National Enquirer investigate the ***SUICIDES*** of all of the British Scientist who was blowing the whistle on Bush and Blair before the Iraq War?
OMG The hitman must have been mother Nature! Wet road, high speed, no seat belts. Headlines should say “Conspiracy gone Wild”.
I am NOT a supporter of John Edwards.
If Edwards were going to hire a hitman, why would he target someone who everyone admits wasn’t involved and didn’t even know about the hush money or the affair that caused it to be paid? What would the man have testified to? “I wasn’t involved and didn’t even know what was going on.” The person who knows about Baron’s involvement is his wife.
If a hitman were running around Hunter and Young would be the ones who should worry.
